Expert Witness

We represent both plaintiffs and defendants for their legal needs.

I am a full-time emergency medicine pharmacist in North Carolina who works in a busy emergency department. I have completed a PGY1 general practice residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency in which I am a board-certified critical care pharmacist (BCCCP). I have been practicing in the critical care/emergency medicine area for almost 15 years and remain at bedside providing care to the most critically ill individuals. My role has expanded during this time to include more significant forensic chart reviews for medication errors, process improvements and adverse drug event assessments. I’ve been a part of greater than 40 protocol, guideline, policy and process improvement projects over this time. Additionally, through both hospital and consulting roles I have taken an active role in pharmacy regulatory practices. Policies and protocols are reviewed and recommendations for clarifications are offered. Practice reviews for compliance with accrediting bodies are also frequently completed with recommendations for measures that can be taken provided to clients. I currently train pharmacy students and pharmacy resident learners in providing bedside care to patients to give the real-life experience they require to practice in the future. The expert witness services we offer include both North Carolina and Virginia.
